Writer: Eleanor SeagleEleanor Seagle

Updated: Jun 13, 2019

In 1995, David, with Alan Litman, significantly enhanced the “spay and neuter” program for stray cats. Great efforts are made to reduce the cat population to protect the Keys Wood Rat and Cotton Mouse, which are both endangered native species. The number of cats has been reduced from over 2000 breeding cats to less than 300 non breeding cats.
